China, with its vast market, attracts numerous overseas buyers with high-quality goods and competitive prices. Every year, buyers from various countries purchase a large volume of goods from China. In this process, effectively safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of foreign buyers has become a critical issue.

In 2023, an Iranian buyer signed a sales contract with a company based in Shandong Province, China, to purchase tinplate. The Iranian buyer made the advance payment as per the contract, but the supplier unjustifiably demanded a price increase.

The Iranian buyer refused to accept the price hike and requested a refund from the supplier. However, the Shandong supplier refused to return the payment. After trying various methods to resolve the issue without success, the Iranian buyer reached out to Attorney Larry Zhou from Landing (Shenzhen) Law Office, seeking professional legal assistance to recover the losses.

Upon accepting the case, Attorneys Larry and Jeremy, conducted a thorough review of all transaction documents and evidence. After discussing potential solutions with the client and obtaining their confirmation, the team actively initiated negotiations with the supplier and applied strategic pressure.

Ultimately, under the efforts of Larry’s team, the supplier agreed to refund the advance payment and signed a settlement agreement with the Iranian client. The client subsequently received the refund smoothly.

The Iranian client stated that despite multiple attempts to negotiate and exert pressure on the supplier, little progress had been made. However, Larry’s team significantly improved the likelihood of a favorable outcome through their extensive experience and flexible strategies.

The client also mentioned that they plan to continue sourcing goods from China in the future and look forward to relying on Larry’s team for further legal support.
